Sulur V 28 is a 28.8 km trail race with 1400 meters in elevation gain.

The route takes participants from the forest of Kjarnaskógur on the outskirts of Akureyri, through the foothills of Mount Súlur, up the spectacular Mount Súlur before descending back into Akureyri on smooth paths. The course is fast and runnable with some rocky patches.
